The National Rifle Association (NRA) is recognized as a major political force and as America's foremost defender of our Second Amendment rights, however, they can sometimes go too far in their efforts and need to be watched closely. This website also monitors the People's reaction to their efforts.

The NRA and Glen Beck aren't making up the Obama gun control claims - go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/agenda/urban_policy/ and read where Obama and Biden want to make the Assault Weapon Ban permanent. See it for yourself.

so you guys dont believe in spending time with your children? dont you take them hunting? supervised of coarse. also, arent you aware that if you do not practice your rights that they will be stripped. our constitution was not written as a joke, and despite that our president thinks that it is only a "goddamned piece of papper" (his words), free people every where should revel in their freedom and proclaim their rights and willingness to protect it. That can not be done without preparation or skills training. Therefore, live the american dream but prepare to defend it should your nation call.

you people really think this is too far. you obviously are deluded by fear tactics and propaganda. ever single modification on that rifle conforms to 922r standards. in fact that tapco stock that it uses comes as a compliance kit just for that reason.

You think that this weapon looks menacing, therefore it is dangerous. i promise you that the original wooden stock makes no difference in ballistic capabilities.

dont be easily led and dont be foolish.

Hi,
I found your pages by accident and read much of it with interest. Here in the Uk handguns are tottally banned and rifles can only be held under very strict licencing control. There are substantial penalties otherwise. I have always been interested in the debate that goes on about the right to bear arms in the USA, and I understand the emotional attachment you must have for this right which is rooted in your history. However I am amazed at the sort of weapons that are legally held there and have noted the tragic recent events of mass shootings across your great country. I hope you will not consider me inpertinent ,but do you not think that there should be another look at the type of weapons that are held and to introduce some form of correlation between possession and needor use?

Personally, I thought this was an excellent article. Perhaps the fact I wrote it played into that in some small way, but all the same it doesn't make anything I said any less true.

Nice to know there are people out there trying to watch people like me. I'll keep my eye open for you.

Oh, and yes, I'm a member of the NRA, so spot on job picking my article up. You all should join too! Heck you might even become enlightened on guns and learn a thing or two.

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms…disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater … confidence than an armed man.” - Thomas Jefferson
